The details
Newborn Photography
Congratulation on your new arrival. Welcoming your newborn home can be a whirlwind and we would like to be there to help capture some of those precious little moments with a newborn photography session. Being a mother myself, I understand the timing and need for comfort. You will have plenty of time to design the shoot ahead of your session so that we can focus on baby whilst in the Studio. The studio is large and accommodating and easily accessible from Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama.
Sessions can last around 2-3 hours. This allows us enough time to work with your babies sleeping and feeding schedule. Remember to come prepared to feed and change your baby as required for that time period. Prior to your session I will work with you and find out what style, colours or moments you are looking for. If you have something special to the family I am happy to incorporate it into the shoot. But don't worry, if you are not sure, we have plenty of backdrops, props and materials to choose from
When should you book?
Newborn sessions are best done when baby is between 5-23 days old. This is the best time to capture those beautiful newborn poses. Your baby is still very sleepy and happy to be curled up into those beautiful curled poses you see in my gallery. Newborns like to cluster feed, to help build up a healthy milk supply. I like to schedule your newborn session after day 5. This allows breastfeeding mothers plenty of time to develop a feeding routine and settle baby back at home. I have a limited number of available sessions each month, to guarantee my turnaround on all edited images stays within 2 weeks.
What is included?
Your session fee of $150 covers your photographer during your 2-3 hour studio session. This includes the use of backdrops, custom props, outfits, wraps, accessories and more. To prepare a personalised session plan with each client such as colours, props, heirloom items or special images you would like included in your session. It is also a great time to discuss family and parent images as well as sibling images if you have older children.
Your session fee of $150 is due at time of booking. and not deducted from your final package.
Family Mini Sessions
These sessions are ideal for Birthday, toddlers and sitter sessions, siblings, and family photos. the sessions usually lasts between 30-60 minutes and held in the studio or on location at request. There are some beautiful sceneries within the Illawarra and we love to capturing them with your family. These packages are tailored around your family requirements.
